Hi, I’m Angie

In 2010, my world turned upside down when my oldest son, Connor, passed away. Struggling with the loss and suddenly finding myself a single mom, I had to navigate through my own grief while supporting my younger son through his own immense loss. I felt compelled to push my emotions deep down, keeping my grief, pain, and anger buried so I could keep moving forward. The toll on my body was immense. Panic attacks, migraines, adrenal fatigue, thyroid problems, shingles, weight gain and severe heartburn became my daily companions. As I tried to soldier on, my body tried to call my attention to something I was ignoring.

In 2022, I made a pivotal decision to confront and process all that I had been through. With the guidance of an invaluable therapist, I started to work through all of the pain and loss. I also started to learn how trauma affects the body, or rather, how not addressing trauma can lead to dis-ease in the body. This is where I discovered Breathwork.

Breathwork has enabled me to acknowledge my emotions, a task I couldn't accomplish previously, and has taught me to express them. It has been instrumental in helping me heal from trauma and loss, and has taught me to experience emotions, allowing them to flow and then let go, as they are meant to be experienced—rather than being held captive within. I wholeheartedly believe that breathwork has the potential to benefit countless individuals. Consequently, I chose to pursue my passion for helping others and become a breathwork coach.

My journey of healing evolved into a profound spiritual awakening. Alongside my personal healing, I unlocked my spiritual gifts. Through my connection to Spirit, I've discovered how to use my own healing talents to help others on their own journeys.

If you've found your way to this page, it's likely because you're on your own healing journey. Congratulations on taking this step! I'd be truly honored to join you on this transformative journey.

With Love,

Angie

“Trauma is not what happens to you, it’s what happens

inside you as a result of what happened to you.“

– Dr Gabor Maté

Can breathwork help alleviate trauma? To explore this question, we need to understand the internal dynamics of our bodies. Dr. Gabor Maté's insight emphasizes that trauma is not just an external event but a bodily response to such an event. While stress is widespread and can lead to conditions like burnout when it becomes overwhelming, trauma goes beyond mere stress. It occurs when our system is overwhelmed, leaving us unable to cope and pushing us beyond our mental capacity to adapt or change, effectively putting the body in control. This leaves us unable to process the experience clearly, and the associated energy becomes trapped in the nervous system.

Indeed, breathwork is a powerful approach, and it can help release trauma. But how does it achieve this? Breathwork aids in healing and processing trauma by bypassing consciousness and deactivating the sympathetic nervous system. It has a restorative effect and creates a safe space for deep relaxation. Through breathwork techniques, individuals can facilitate self-healing by connecting to their breath, allowing for the expression, processing, and release of whatever comes up.

You have to feel it to heal it.
